I am so excited to be joining the fifth grade team at Majestic Fields Elementary!  I received my teaching credentials and Reading Endorsement from Texas A&M University and I have sixteen years of teaching experience.
I had so many amazing teachers growing up...but my sixth grade teacher, Mr. Moss, was one of my favorites!  I guess you could call me a "teacher's pet" because he always let me do extra things like run errands, tutor younger kids, and spend time helping the school librarian!   Reading and Language Arts were always my favorite subjects, and I enjoy teaching those as well.   As a child, my favorite books were the "Little House on the Prairie" books, and the Nancy Drew series.  My hobbies include reading, painting, traveling (I've been in over half of the United States, Mexico, Canada, Costa Rica, and all over Europe), camping, watching movies, and playing board games with my kids.  
My favorite quote is from one of my favorite artists, Vivcent Van Gogh, "...that which is done with love is well done."  I LOVE teaching and I am looking forward to a fabulous year with my new group of fifth graders!

I graduated from Utah Valley University. I have many subjects I love to teach, but I’d have to say Social Studies is my favorite. My favorite teacher growing up was Mrs. May. My favorite book is Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. I loved that whole series! It rewarding to know that I’m making a difference in someone else’s life. I love making a change! I have a lot of hobbies, but one of my favorite things is to go rafting at the lake. My favorite quote is “Be somebody who makes everybody feel like a somebody.” --

I graduated from Brigham Young University. My favorite subject to teach is Social Studies.My most favorite teacher is Mrs. Kanagi. My favorite book is Wonder. I love helping students “get it.” There is no better feeling than knowing you helped a student learn and progress.  I love traveling!  My favorite Quote is “Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game” Babe Ruth

I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Governors University, where I studied elementary education. I also have an Associate of Science degree from Dixie State University. I honestly enjoy teaching each subject, but math is probably my favorite to teach.

My favorite teacher in elementary school was Ms. Hazel; she was my science teacher from the 3rd-6th grade. Ms. Hazel was great at including hands-on, problem-based activities that really made learning about science exciting to me. One of the things I love most about teaching is having the opportunity to facilitate this same love for learning in my own students. There is nothing more rewarding to me than seeing my students’ faces when they have that “aha” moment and finally grasp a new concept or master a new skill.
