I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Governors University, where I studied elementary education. I also have an Associate of Science degree from Dixie State University. I honestly enjoy teaching each subject, but math is probably my favorite to teach.
My favorite teacher in elementary school was Ms. Hazel; she was my science teacher from the 3rd-6th grade. Ms. Hazel was great at including hands-on, problem-based activities that really made learning about science exciting to me. One of the things I love most about teaching is having the opportunity to facilitate this same love for learning in my own students. There is nothing more rewarding to me than seeing my students’ faces when they have that “aha” moment and finally grasp a new concept or master a new skill.
