I graduated from Southern Utah University in Cedar City, Utah. In addition to my Bachelors in Education I also graduated with a Biology minor and a math level 2 endorsement. The best part about teaching is getting to know each of the students and seeing their different personalities shine through. I love math! It’s my favorite subject and I love helping students to love it too.
Throughout my life I have had many great educators who influenced me; however, three stand out the most. They were Mrs. Reynolds, Mr. Esplin, and Mr. Oldroyd. They made me feel like I mattered then, and still keep in contact with me today.
My favorite things to do include going to country concerts, spending time with family and friends in Marysvale, Utah four-wheeling and hanging out at the trailers, and going to the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas every December to watch the top cowboys and cowgirls in every event compete for the world title. My favorite book is the series Harry Potter, with The Prisoner of Azkaban being my favorite one. My favorite quote comes from this series and is as follows, “It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.” by Dumbledore. I love this quote because it shows my students that what we are able to do isn’t what truly matters. It is what we choose to do with those abilities that shows our true character.

I graduated from Southern Utah University (Go T-birds!) with an emphasis in Early Childhood.I love being outdoors and some of my favorite outdoor activities include: hiking, camping, and fishing. I grew up in Panaca, Nevada and my favorite teacher was Ms. Jones. I have always looked up to her and hope to be a great and loving teacher like her. I love to read, and my favorite books are the Hunger Games and Divergent Series. I am very excited to share my love of reading with my students. My favorite subject to teach is ELA. One thing I love about teaching, is the relationships that I am able to build with my classes. One quote that I love and plan to share in my classroom with weekly Acts of Kindness is: "Be the change you want to see in the word" - Gandhi. I want each of my students to understand the importance of being kind to others to help make our classroom a safe learning environment.
